SLAYER (USA)

SLAYER is one of the few bands responsible for the thrash metal mania in the early 80’s and one of the most respected and loved metal bands ever.

The band started its relentless career in 1981 and with more than 30 years of non stop touring and mayhem has released 11 studio albums, toured all over the world and received 5 nomminations and 2 Grammy Awards For Best Metal Act. SLAYER's band members Tom Araya, Kerry King, Dave Lombardo and Jeff Hanneman are some of the most respected and admired musicians in the metal community.

SLAYER's "Reign In Blood (1986) is considered as one of the heaviest metal albums ever and has influenced in a great way the metal music in general. In 2009 SLAYER released their latest album "World Painted Blood". With this last album the band is returning to their musical roots and the thrash anthems of their first recordings.

This year the band is working on some new material, which should be released later in 2012.

In the last couple of years SLAYER had to tour with touring musicians in order to replace Hanneman during his recent illness. Now the band is back in its original line up, more powerfull than ever and ready to rock at LOUD FESTIVAL 2012!
